Alive? I don't know but they aren't dead though
Steely Dan finally after many years crept out of the closet of some recording studio and had the lights shined upon them for an extended concert across the country having only toured a couple of times in the past and after many many years out of the public eye with no records they came back to find success again. I enjoy just about everything from Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. And this disc is certainly very listenable. However, as Live recordings go it just seems like a collection of songs. Any banter between Donald Fagen, Walter Becker and the audience is edited out which hampers from the the feel of a live concert. From attending a Steely Dan concert on this tour and also owning a couple of bootlegs, I know these guys can communicate with an audience in between songs quite effectively. The edit job …
