This is a very entertaining CD. I love it when two artists from different musical worlds collaborate. Emmylou Harris has a sweet voice. I think she conveys such warmth with it Mark Knopfler has a deep voice He conveys compassion and wisdom. This is clearly evident on the title track All The Roadrunning. This is an excellent song about the physical and emotional toil travelling can have on a person. This track has a lovely sounding texture to it because the insturments sound perfect. This is Us is a standout track. It is about the fun memories of two people in love. Beachcoming is another favorite track of mine on this album. I think EmmyLou and Mark create very clear imagery of animals of kittens and seabirds in this song with their great vocals. Red Staggerwing is a very upbeat tune. The violin playing by Glenn Duncan gives this track such a lively quality. I also liked the track Love and Happiness. This is a lovely song about all the good intentions a person can have for someone they love. If This is Goodbye and Donkey Town are two tracks about how loneliness is a part of life that everyone goes through. Mark Knopfler's guitar playing is so good on these two tracks and on the entire CD. All The Roadrunning is the best duet CD of the year so far.
