Although I visit the dentist on a regular basis, every six months to be exact. I was never recommended this toothbrush. I was pacing through K-Mart one day and I saw it looking all nice and pretty, and just decided out of nowhere to pick it up. This was about 8 months ago and I been using it ever since. I'm not sure if it's the greatest toothbrush ever, but it's the best I used so far.
The Arm and Hammer Spinbrush is a battery operated toothbrush that is said to:
-Whiten teeth in 14 days
and has an:
-Innovative Whitening Bristle System
-Dual Action Brush-Head
In all honesty, I don't know if it whitens teeth in 14 days, simply because I would never be able to tell if it's the brush or the toothpaste I use doing it. But I do find the brush to be very comfortable. I use to apply too much pressure with the regular toothbrush and found myself bleeding unnecessarily, with this, I just let the brush do its job and guide it through the motions.
The brush has a dual head, and the top and bottom portions move. The handle is easy to grip and doesn't slip very easily, but it will slip should it become too wet with toothpaste. It comes with a sliding button which goes up or down to activate on and off, but this has to be cleaned though, because the excess toothpaste will get caked up in the mechanism and it will become pretty tough to turn on and off. I normally take a small rag, tissue, or just run a small amount of water to clean it right after use.
The toothbrush takes two AA batteries (batteries are included) and there are instructions for placing the batteries, replacing the head after 3 months of use, and all around operating instructions. To include, detailed picture instructions that can be seen once the little manual is completely opened. The manual also has a warning label for children under three. It also warns not to submerge in water, due to the possibility of damaging the unit.
The brush also comes with a plastic cover for the head that snaps on and off very easily to keep it clean from dirt and insects. The head lasts and is pretty strong for awhile, and I think it can last longer than 3 months, but I change it around that time anyway. When the batteries are dying, it's very easy to tell because the toothbrush will sound and feel weaker, until it's barely moving at all. I brush about 4 times a day but I notice that the battery life is pretty long. I also noticed that the toothbrush is very strong and resistant to dropping damage. In one of my blind fits of rage, I slammed the toothbrush to the floor and it didn't break, in fact, there has been no change at all to its performance, and I'm a very strong guy who normally breaks everything when I slam it.
The case is very easy to open due to the small slits in the back, which are located on the lining of the plastic edges. It just takes a little patience, and you'll have it opened in no time. From what it appears by touching it, the plastic doesn't seem to cut very easily, but I still recommend some type of caution.
In any case, I'm satisfied with the product and I normally buy refill heads. I recommend this to anyone who is just plain looking for a different or a new toothbrush.
Pros: -Replaceable Heads, soft bristles, works hard so you don't have to, comes apart for cleaning, replaceable batteries, comes with batteries
Cons: -Can't prove the 14 day whitening deal

With all the skincare and personal care products you've reviewed so far, it feels like having ventured into your bathroom, LOL! Sometimes I found myself thinking "oh boy, that's a great deal of products I've in my bathroom!" Looks like I'm not the only one ;-)
