Good Theme of How We Depend On Our Sight So Much But The Writing Style Makes It Miss The Mark!

This review is based on a reviewer copy received from the publishing agent but reflects my own opinion.

Gloria Rank is a radio talk show host. On the day she has an information security expert on her show talking about combating identity thieves, her sister Anna becomes a victim herself. Armed with "knowledge" from her radio guest, Gloria suggests that Anna's computer may have been infected with a virus helping the thief get to her personal information.

Anna is frantic with what happened to her and when she goes to the police, they suspect her of a crime that was committed by a woman looking like her. Anna sees the video and realizes it is someone disguised as her. She then suspects this is the same individual that may have stolen her identity. The police realize that she is telling the truth and offer her protection especially after a dead body ends up in Anna's doorway. That protection is soon overcome by the thief causing Anna to go into hiding with Gloria.

Gloria, a sightless individual feels that Anna will be better prepared to defend against the thief if she learns the skills that Gloria knows. She starts teaching Anna how to hone her other four senses. This is actually the best part of the book as we get how a sightless individual percieves the world and just how much a "sighted" person lets their eyes overpower their other four senses.

The book itself is written in a very difficult manner with poor segueways to other scenes. The author also neglects to give proper coverage to the main characters' thoughts. This way of writing made a lot of the story confusing and sometimes it was down right boring. This struggle I had with the writing style prevent me from giving the book greater than three stars.
