Is it customary to tip when you have your car detailed in an auto body shop, or is it just like any other service? If you do tip, what percentage? I've heard of people tipping before, so I wanted to be sure.

This is a great question. Why do we tip a bartender but not an airline flight attendant? I suspect you probably should shell out 10-15% for a detailer but then why not tip the guys in Jiffy Lube? A genuine tipping dilemma.

Not usually, but if they do a really good job, I think it's nice to give them a couple of dollars.
