The First Protein Powder I've Tried

I looked into different Protein Powders that were specially designed for Women and came across BSN Lean Dessert Protein. The company says that it's ideal for weight management and meal supplementation. It has a sustained release blend of 6 proteins plus BCAAs, Glutamine Peptides and MCTs. What's even greater is the no aspartame or added sugar claims.

I tried the Whipped Vanilla and loved it. Even got my local GNC to order me more. I also tried Chocolate Fudge but wasn't as big of a fan. I can mix the Whipped Vanilla with water and frozen strawberries in the morning for added taste or just water and the powder in a shaker after the gym.

While eating clean I've been able to maintain my weight, cut fat slightly while building muscle and I feel great. I have 2 shakes a day. One in the morning after a cardio workout and another at night with dinner (meal 5) when I get home from the gym.

I've been hopping around protein supplement shakes, having tried Apex, Jarrow Formula and Muscle Milk, but I've yet to try one that's made specifically for women, so it sounds like something that I should check out.

I love vanilla as well, and it's the only flavor that I ever get when it comes to protein shakes because it's so easy to mix with other flavors. Just a tip: vanilla protein shake mix with Odwalla Superfood, plus a splash of OJ, soy milk, or water to dilute, tastes awesome and is one of my favorite drinks after a work out!
