Babycenter.com - some comfort for a mom-to-be

It was actually my favorite site when I was pregnant.
Not that I agreed with everything or bought stuff from there but the overall vibe was very friendly and I stayed there longer, finding comfort in detailed articles, getting lost in baby names meanings, browsing endless rows of strollers and other previousely uknown to me gear.
My favorite thing about this site was the fact that they obviousely encouraged a community bonding, recognizing not only a mom's need for one but also the way mom relate to each other, offering groups by kids age, location and other specifics.
I found some good friends through that site and also a lot of good information.
I must say though that I found their shopping feature to be less attractive - perhaps the design and the selection didn't appeal to me.
But I didn't go there to shop anyway. They offer tons of information and endless resources and although for a more indeep research I'd go all over the Net I would always start asking my questions at babycenter.com. They'd guide me in the right directions.
Good old times, good old times. :)
