In our home we eat cereal anytime of day, not just for breakfast. Being a purchaser of other cereals that incorporate dried fruit (Post Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal with Real Strawberries, 13-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4) & Kellogg's Rice Krispies with Real Strawberries, 10.5-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)) I was looking forward to trying this. According to Back to Natures website their description of this cereal is "Every spoonful contains wholesome multigrain and barley flakes, honey, dried strawberries, raspberries …

I don't like sugary cereals in the morning; I prefer a hearty cereal with a hint of sweetness. This cereal was perfect for that. The flavor was delicious and it was a filling and all in all pretty healthy.    My flakes were tasty and the berries were bursting with flavor. My issue with the cereal is that the flakes were too crunchy and the berries too mushy. I don't mind a crunchy flake, but these bordered on being hard. Even after letting them soak a bit in the milk they were …

This cereal is relatively natural, has dried fruits and whole grains... though it's not organic and it has somewhat processed "natural" sweeteners. It's pretty tasty and a nice improvement over most commercial cereals... though I think they could make something that lives up more fully to the brand name of back to nature - organic and no refined sweeteners would be ideal. I would recommend this cereal for those who aren't too concerned about getting too much sugar/carbs and who like fruity cereals. …

I really like the Back to Nature Summer Berry cereal. It really is tasty and crunchy and is good both raw and with a little soymilk (no dairy for me, so I can't attest to the regular stuff, lol). However, my biggest complaint was the amount of calories - about 200 per cup. This is really par for the course with granola type cereals, though. Also, because it doesn't bost add ins, the protein was a little less than some of the other cereals I normally eat. That's just my little word of warning. Other …

this cereal, in its chic recycled packaging got mixed reviews at my house. one of us was put off by the harsh taste of molasses and the hard, almost brittle texture of the flakes and dried fruit. the other taster found both of those qualities somewhat appealing.  i think it's safe to say that this is a somewhat eccentric offering.    Lynn Hoffman

I must admit I was a bit incredulous when I poured a bowl of this cereal. However, when I tasted it I was very pleased. The cereal at first seems too sweet, but then seems to tame itself. The berries in the cereal are dehydrated fruit that re-moisten once the milk is absorbed, so if you aren't a fan of dehydrated fruit, you might not like this cereal. The flakes hold up very well in the milk and they don't get soggy at all. I find this amazing because most cereal becomes soggy rather quickly. Overall …

Like a lot of people, I like the ease of having a bowl of cereal and some fruit for breakfast, but, also like a lot of people, I don't want to be eating a bowl of sugar or high fructose corn syrup. It's kind of fun to try some of the healthier alternatives, and I really expected this cereal to be one of the best. It is high in fiber and low in fat, but a whopping 46 grams of carbs in a one-cup serving is awfully high. From the standpoint of taste and appeal, the flakes are a bit sweet but tasty …

The box I received held 5 servings. Four family members and myself each had a serving. These are the results:    -The bran was sweet and crunchy. The flake stayed crunchy in water. Overall 5 stars for the bran flakes.    - The fruit, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries (which none of us could even locate) were on the sour side. All tasted better mixed with milk than they did alone. I though they offset the sweetness of the bran very well.    -Nutrit …

For the past year I've been doing a research analysis of cereals, so I thought I'd add this cereal to my database.    "Back to Nature - Summer Berry Blend" looks and sounds healthy from the appearance and description on the box. However it only ranks as "moderately healthy" in my research. The most important factor I consider is the ratio of sugar to fiber. "Summer Berry Blend" only scores a 3.4 to 1 ratio of sugar to fiber. Certainly this is far better than sugar loaded cereals …

This cereal was a pleasant surprise in certain areas. The flakes have a nice texture that's not too "fibery" tasting. Flavor wise...it's a little non-descript. It's a good, basic cereal with out too many bells and whistles. Other reviewers has stated that the dried berries come to life when hit with milk, which is true making their presence known in each bite by upping the already prominent berry flavor profile. Even more, the dense, crunchy, hearty nature of this cereal stands strong within a bowl …

The "Back To Nature Summer Berry Blend Cereal" is a dense and hearty cereal that contains sweetened flakes and an assortment of dried berries (possibly freeze-dried) including strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. The first thing that I noticed is that the flakes are much denser than in most other cereals. This was a good thing because this cereal fills you up faster and the flakes stay crunchy longer in milk (if you like them to stay crunchy like I do). The flavors of the berries go well …

This is a very nutritious, low-fat, cereal that is exciting to eat. The dried Summer berries stimulate the palate and evoke the warm days of Summer. As such, this makes it a perfect Winter cereal. The whole-wheat flakes are sweetened with homey and they don't taste cardboardy like so many other cereals do. Whether you eat it for breakfast or an afternoon snack, it will give you energy for the day and not make you feel sluggish.
