Another WWE movie production without wrestlers or great looking women. I do have to give credit where it is due, “Barricade” does feel, look and moves like a horror movie. The direction was competent, the atmosphere and set designs did feel creepy, and it does give off a feeling of claustrophobia.
However, for some reason, it falls apart. The groundwork was interesting and simple but by the second half, it all becomes convoluted, as the script becomes a mess with so many undefined elements. It feels as if it became re-written and whatever twists and surprises it built up to became like “that was it, really?”
A decent horror movie that needed more meat and discipline in scripting. [2 Out of 5 Stars]
