Batman (Terrence "Terry" McGinnis) is a fictional character, a superhero who appears in comic books published by DC Comics, as well as the protagonist of the animated television series Batman Beyond (1999–2001), in which he has succeeded Bruce Wayne as the protector of Gotham City. He was voiced by Will Friedle. His first appearance in mainstream comics continuity was in Batman #700 (June 2010).

So far as I’m concerned, BATMAN BEYOND never got enough love from fandom.  The futuristic incarnation of the Bats was more than a bit inspired: it gave the chance for an elderly Bruce Wayne to mentor the young upstart Terry McGinnis into his role as the new savior of Gotham while also giving a nod to several of the nefarious villains of the original Batman’s past.  The animated program lasted for three seasons on television, and, while there were brief on-and-off again rumors …
