Which writer / artist team do you think managed to best capture the Bruce Wayne / Batman character in comics?

Obviously the Frank Miller Dark Knight series is up there. Though the artwork of the 1960's was realistic, I still have an affinity to the Batman comic covers of the 1960's.

Hm...Grant, O'Neil, Englehart, Miller, Brennert, Azzarello, Finch, Starlin, Moore (that one ttime), Moench artist: Breyfogle, Aparo, Rogers, Newton, Dixon, Benes, Lee, and that guy who made him scary... Finch.

O'Neil, paired with Giordano/Adams, Marshall Rogers, et cetera...followed closely by Miller/Varley. There's also a lot of be said of Andy Helfer's and Grant Morrison's contributions when collaborating with able illustrators.
