I LOVE this carrier

It can be worn on the front from about 2-3 months (w/out insert) on the front till at least 3 years on your back
Head piece is higher than the Ergo allowing you to use it earlier and without an infant insert. You can just "frog" the babies legs when they are in it and the head piece comes up to support the neck
Hood that can be detached, placed into the front pocket, completely removed, or used for sun protection or darkness when napping
Great Prints in Amy Butler Fabric
Carrier is easily adjustable for both large and small people with many straps
Folds up and can roll into itself and worn like a fanny pack type while the baby is out
Because of the padded hip strap it doesn't fold as well as slings, however it can be just worn rolled up or strapped to the outside of the diaper bag
Hip strap is very padded and distributes the weight nicely
I used this carrier for my 2 year old who is 28 pounds and 34" tall on my back while I was 9 months pregnant since it was too hard to carry him on my hip when he was tired and it was surprisingly comfy and balanced the weight of the BIG belly :)
