Come on … he's not fat … he's just big boned. He's Big Mo … and he's got a slew of belly satisfying subs, all guaranteed to quench your thirst for GRUB. It's been a while now since our buddy Ben G. raved about the giant cheeseburger sub at Big Mo's … but free at last, free at last … I've tasted the fruit of the land and ended an era of oppressive non-BIg-Mo's-living. But let's back-up a bit … we know, burger on a sub? Sounds kind of made up … but unlike your profile on Match.com
… I assure you it's all for real. It might sort of seem like a misnomer, and it comes in a medium and a large … again, pretty weird for a burger … but there's nothing quite as magical as Mo's oval shaped patty of grade-A, juicy-goodness, plopped onto a sesame-seed roll (Side note … what is a sesame?
) and layered up with thousand island, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, and a giant pickle spear right. There's really not much that could beat it … unless you pile on a healthy-helping of hot pastrami. Yeah … pastrami … I heard a couple of times about this off-menu pastrami-cheese-burger, and damn was I glad that I went for it. For now on, I'm a two kinds of meat kind of guy. They just go so well together … the peppery bite from the pastrami joined up with the heart, thick patty of the burger … it's a love match better than Lamar and Khloe … and much better looking. We paired it all up with a Mango Arizona Ice Tea and a bag of kettle chips … I am a man of simple pleasures … and pleasured I was. Our GRUB-mates went for the Mo's Turkey … a hot sandwich loaded with grilled philly-cheese-steak-style turkey, mixed with cheese and grilled onions and loaded up with all the fixins' and a few pepperoncinis on the side for good measure. Again, there's just something so awesome about a sandwich with the whole pickle spear on the sub … it instantly takes me back to those commercials from the 80's for Vlasic Pickles
(Check this one out and just wait for the racism to ensue). All inall, Big Mo's is just another one of those amazing local hang-out spots, with a kind of a funky vibe, and pictures of random dishes not listed on the menu, but stick with the pastrami burger and you'll be GRUBBING before you know it. Just trust us … and we trust Mo.
