OK. A hand vacuum isn't a hip, trendy gizmo, but it is a necessary item in my house because I have a cat who thinks her litter box is a working gravel pit. And you can't imagine how expensive these things can be and how ineffective most of them are. So now that I've found a great one, I think it warrants a review.
I've had several handheld vacuums, quite a few of them Dustbusters by Black & Decker, which I have come to believe is the best brand to buy. They do basic, small jobs and generally hold up well. And they cost much less than many other brands that are less effective.
I mostly use my Dustbuster to pick up kitty litter and the occasional broken glass or piece of china. This new model works even better than my older version, which finally wore out after 7 or 8 years of service. This model has stronger suction and a larger collection bag. And it has a handy corner attachment that extends from the nozzle for hard-to-reach areas.
This 14.4 volt model is an excellent value for the money and I highly recommend it.
