A 2 week old baby should be breastfeeding every 1.5-3 hours and sleeping in between those feedings. If the baby is sleeping longer than that you should wake the baby (even at night) to feed at least every 4 hours, but I would wake her every 3 hours. And if the baby is only feeding every 3 hours and not more often, I would pump in between to make sure the mommy builds a sufficient milk supply!

MMMM do not look at the clock but look at the baby. Feed on demand not on a schedule, some babies feed really well and sleep really well, other feed more often. Depending on baby's weight and your ped's recommendations a newborn can sleep up to 3 hours (a big baby even up to one 4 hour stretch per day) but your breast will also be a good indicator of when the baby needs to wake up and relieve you. It's a mama/baby dance...no rules on demand relax and enjoy

I never really timed the feedings for my baby, but fed her on cue, when she wanted to. That usually meant anywhere between 1 and 4 hours between feedings. Since babies are not robots, they have different needs and different times and they go through growth spurts - so I think it is best not to time feedings but to feed them when they want to. That has worked out great for us and my milk supply.
