During one of my trips to the dentist about 4 years ago I received some strange news. Thinking this was just a routine check-up, and the only thing to worry about was the usual cleaning. The dentist alerted me that I was suffering from a serious gum disease. I asked him was it serious to the point where I would have to see an actual doctor, and he told me it wasn't something he couldn't handle. Well long story short, he told me it was due to sub-par hygiene...Ouch! But I mentioned to him that I brush at least 3 times a day, after all meals and snacks, plus I use Listerine Pre-Brush products as well as Listerine Mouthwash. His question was, "but how often do you floss?" I responded with, "well never." And supposedly that was the main reason.
I was never the type to enjoy flossing, in fact, I plain hate it, because it always felt as if something was still stuck in my teeth, plus some times it will break between the teeth, and those who are familiar with flossing know how that feels. Well, on one of my trips to Rite-Aid, I spotted this pack of Eez-Thru Flossers. The first thing I noticed was that this wasn't the usual floss you wrap around your fingers, as these actually have handles, with a small piece of floss at the head, and the bottom piece is actually a tooth pick. I gave it a try and I been using it ever since.
The flossers are easy to handle and the grip is pretty comfortable. The floss doesn't appear to have much wax, which is good for me, because I hate that feeling between the teeth I previously explained. The floss also has a slight mint taste that goes away after a while. The floss is very easy to use and you can hit between the back teeth, top, and bottom very easily. The tooth pick portion is also very useful and I have no complaints with it.
The only problem that I had with the product, and I can't remember the last time this happened though, was that the floss would break incredibly easy, as if I had a razor between my teeth. I remember on one occasion, I went through about four of them before I could begin any type of cleaning, and I didn't have anything stuck between my teeth either. As far as I'm concerned, some of them were just defective.
This is the product list:
On the front -
-Easy, on the go flossing
-Shred resistant
-Durable comfort grip handle
On the back -
-Floss engineered not to shred, break or snag
-Comfort grip handle has a thumb pad and non-slip surface for better control
-Angled neck allows for easy access to back teeth
-Pick gently cleans between teeth and massages gums
-Recommended by dental professionals
The packaging also comes with directions for use, both verbally and visually. The bag is very easy to open and it's resealable.
Now I won't say ever since I began using them, I never had a reason to go to the dentist again because that's not true. But I never heard any news like that again. So perhaps the dentist knew what he was talking about then. I never realized how important flossing could be, and I do notice that my mouth feels a lot cleaner when I do it. I recommend the product.
On a side note, although the product is listed to contain 40 flossers, I've also bought the ones that contain 75 or 90, which ever they have in stock.
Pros: -Easy to use, resealable bag
Cons: -Sometimes the floss breaks

I'm going to make more attempts in expanding. It's pretty fun once in awhile.
I really hope I don't come across anymore stalkers. Life is too short.
