Do you know a child, or perhaps maybe yourself, who wants to work with animals?

At first when I was deciding on purchasing this book, I was real skeptical because I didn’t think there were much careers related to the animal field. But when I received it, I was surprised. There is at least 31 different careers in the animal field that they list in this book.
In the book they divide the careers in 6 different career sections. The 6 different career sections are: Careers at Animal Shelters, Veterinary Medicine, Working with Pets, Working with Wildlife, Arts, and Specialty Careers. When I saw the different career sections I started to get more interested in the book. In the beginning of each career section, it gives you a brief description and gets a little more in depth on how that section can be animal related.
I started to read from the first page to the end page. I am surprised on how many careers there actually are and in fields that you wouldn’t really think would really be animal related. Like, did you know that you can be an animal musician? Believe it or not, you can be.
For every career there is, they start off with an interview with someone who is in that particular field for you to get an actual look on how that job goes day by day and what you are likely to encounter. It gives you not only the pros in that job field, but it also gives you the cons. Then at the end of each job chapter it asks you questions to see if you would fit in that career and also suggestions on how t find out more about that job. For example: If you wanted to be an Animal Control Agency Director they tell you to contact your local law enforcement department. Find out about animal laws where you live and who enforces them. Then if you wanted to be a Humane Disaster Relief Specialist, it asks you if you are the kind of person who stays calm in a crisis and are you comfortable directing others.
I think this book is great for any age group, just as long as you’re interested in working in the animal field.
