Chaco Sandals: on my feet but close to my heart

On April 1st I have a ritual.  I put on my chaco sandals and vow to wear them until October first.  I live in Illinois, so this is risky, but so far I have avoided frostbite and my feet are never happier than when they are dressed in a pair of my Chaco's .  The company is out of Colorado and has strong sustainable practices, such as purchasing 400-megawatt hours of windpowered Green Certificates to match their yearly electrical usages and they pay employees to ride their bikes to work... And they are made in the USA. How nice.  However, what they do best is make a great product that fits and feels great.  I have high arches and wide feet and these are the only shoes I can live in and not have problems.  I work in lakes and rivers and my chacos take a serious beating, yet I find myself in the same pair with a skirt heading out for a beer.  I see they now have some multisport shoes and women's casual shoes as well.  Check out at: http://chacousa.com.
