Meh, is it really necessary?

I only use ChapStick if I know I'll be out in the sun for a very long time, like when I go hiking or when I spend a day at the beach. Some people claim to be addicted, and you know what? They're absolutely correct. Doctors agree that the more you use lip balms like ChapStick, the less your body will produce its own natural lubricants that keep the lips from becoming chapped. (The same concept is true for eyedrops- take it from someone who wears contacts!)

Still, despite its issues, ChapStick is a good brand and its gets the job done better than many other competitors. If you are a self-proclaimed addict, consider buying them in packs at Costco- you'll save a few bucks.

ChapStick is most definitely useful in the both the summer and the winter. In the winter, it works well to keep your lips from chapping. I would recommend it.
