When most people think of Jamba Juice, they think of hot summer days, ice cold smoothies and occasional stops into a store to grab a snack. But lately, I've discovered another side to Jamba Juice that I have come to enjoy and well - become addicted to ever since trying out the Chunky Straweberry Topper. And though it's already mid-October, these cooler days don't stop me from coming in to get my now usual 12 ounce cup of goodness. In fact, more often I find myself looking to Jamba Juice as a breakfast meal solution! That's right, instead of a stop into Starbucks for coffee, I'm across the street at Jamba Juice getting a fresh start to my day.
Jamba Juice introduced what they call 'Ideal Meals' - a set of four smoothies blended with fruits and yogurt and then topped off with a helpful amount of granola and sliced banana to get you to smile like you've found your perfect snack/breakfast/meal/post-workout/etc. My favorite - the Chunky Strawberry - has yogurt mixed in which straweberries and, best of all, peanut butter. YES, peanut butter! PB fans - this one is for you! The texture created with this added ingredient makes this smoothie-like topper go beyond what any other blended creation across the board can do.
I found smoothies in general pretty boring. You stick a straw into the cup, and by the time you finish - you're bored of the same texture, flavor & sweetness you've ordered. But toppers now give me great reasons to go to Jamba Juice. I lose the straw, and grab the spoon. Instead of sipping my 5 bucks away, Jamba Juice now gives me something I can use my teeth to chew on, if I don't devour it so fast. The granola and banana really put some texture into the toppers. And the peanut butter in the Chunky Strawberry really keep it from tasting just like all of the other smoothies at Jamba Juice. Let's face it, they start tasting the same after awhile.
