When you are looking for a holiday gift at a reasonable price then you should go to Best Buy, because they have all kind of neat gadgets. That is how and where I found this portable dual DVD player by Coby. This was on sale for only $99.99, and they also had an extended warranty for only fifteen dollars more. I did not intentionally go there looking for this but I just stumbled onto it, I found this to be too good of a deal to pass up. I have never heard of this brand name before two months ago, so that is why I was a little hesitant to purchase this at first. But, this hesitation wore off after I saw the money that I was saving. This product was appeasing to the eye and they weren't too heavy to carry out of the store.

Description
What we got for our hundred dollars was two monitors, a remote control, a car adapter with a AV cable, a AC/DC adapter (1A), an AC/DC adapter (2A), a power cord, the usual red yellow and white audio and video cable, earphones, and two headrest mounting bags for our car. The screens are 7" LCD TFT and 480 x 234 resolution.

What was really nice was the fact that you get two screens that can be shared and entertain your kids at the same time. You can use all types of disks (compatible DVD, cd, dvd±r/rw, jpeg, and mp3), this also has Digital Dolby decoding, digital and analog outputs, 2 headphone jacks, anti-skip circuitry, onscreen display, multiple language, subtitle, and camera angle support, parental lock controls.

The audio input is 3.5mm stereo, the audio output is 3.5mm optical/stereo; 3.5mm headphone(x2)integrated stereo speakers, video input 3.5mm and the video output 3.5mm composite video. The media format support is compatible with mostly any such as; DVD, cd, dvd±r/rw, jpeg, and mp3. The video support is mpeg-1, mpeg-2 (DVD) and the photo support is JPG. The languages that you can play on this portable DVD player is English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

The battery that comes with this is a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery (play time is 2 to 3 hours), the remote needs 2 AAA batteries to operate. The overall weight 6 pounds together and the dimensions are 8" x 7" x 1.5". The basic color of this is black with a high gloss screen.

Experience
Whenever we go on vacation it is usually for more than just a day trip. We usually go to Atlanta and then off to Florida, and when you go on a trip like that you need something to keep your child and wife quiet. With this unit both of them and even our daughters friend can enjoy a long trip and I can pay attention to the road in peace and quiet.

These two units will attach to the headrest or with the anti-skip technology that these have they can hold them on their laps, just in case the sun is shining in the car at the wrong direction. The vibrations of the car do not affect the DVD or CD from skipping, at least I have never heard them complain about it. You can either use them in tandem or individually, the kids kind of lean on the side of tandem. Most of the time they are just holding them on their laps, because of the daylight and sunlight. The glare prevents them from seeing the movie and they have to either block the light or put a blanket over their heads to see the movie.

The wide variety of CD's and DVD's that these play will let you enjoy this product to the max and with the addition of the car kit you do not have to worry about the battery running low, you can watch this for hours. The sound is usually so loud that I have to keep telling the kids to turn it down because it annoys me when they have headphones and they think that I want to listen to what they are listening to. The times that I have used this I have noticed the picture quality was excellent for the price that we paid for this product. This has a crystal clear picture and the sound quality has a nice pitch to it and there is not crackling or static sound in the background.

The real nice thing about this unit is that it comes equipped with a remote control. I did notice that, this also has some kind of memory in it, to allow you to go back to the spot of the movie if you have to stop and leave the car and come back. This will go back to the exact spot that you have left off in the movie. This is very easy to learn to use even though this has a lot of different options, all that the kids usually use is the stop and play options.

Conclusion
The main thing to remember about this product is that it will give the driver of the car (that's me) peace and quiet all during the drive. The very first time that my wife and daughter used this I did not hear a word from either of them and do you know how hard it is to keep a woman's or girl's mouth closed without putting food into it. It is an impossible feat, but this will help the male population of the world drive in peace and quiet while on vacation.
