When I was a kid this was a great holiday! NO SCHOOL! But now, not so much. Doesn't even make sense really... In fact I believe the Vikings made it to the America long before Columbus. It should be Leif Ericson Day!

Actually, Asia discovered the Americas even before the Vikings. What I find ironic is that the Vikings were responsible for less damage to the indigenous cultures of the Americas were than Columbus and still he gets the credit.
