Heaven in a bowl....

How did I ever not eat cornflakes?  The texture, the crunch and the flavor are the best way to start my day.  I like them after the milk has been in the bowl for about a minute so they have a bit of crunch but not too much.

A bowl is about one hundred calories plus the skim milk = 140 calories.  I traded in my bagel routine for the cornflakes and since January of this year dropped 12 lbs.  They are a great, fast, cheap and healthy snack.  If you get tired of the flakes by themselves, then you can add some raisins or chocolate chips.  YUM.

I have tried store brand and organic, but nothing beats the original.  You cannot go wrong with cornflakes.

Corn flakes are a must for a good meat loaf. Sorry to hear about the milk issue, try it with soy! Corn flakes are awesome and I do recommend them with a handful of raisins and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Give it a try!

I know this is odd but I fell in love with Corn Flakes in Iran one summer. I don't know if they had the actual brand or some imitation, but whatever it was, it did the trick. I used to always pour syrup on top and eat it, but as I've gotten older I've lost my ability to drink straight milk so the cereal option is no more. Have you ever used Corn Flakes in a recipe? I've seen a lot that call for a crusting of Corn Flakes but I've never made one myself.
