I too am a long-time Daily Candy aficionado.  Living in a big city, there's so much available, so I rely upon Daily Candy to "filter" the noise and tell me what's up  - whether it be telling me about the new restaurant in town or what specific event I should attend this weekend.  What's impressive about Daily Candy is that even though it's grown significantly since its inception is that it hasn't lost focus.  The editing - selection of what to feature - is great.  I especially like that each e-mail is short.  Daily Candy consumes only a few seconds of my day, and yet it's like a spoon full of sugar, and helps the early morning go down.  Bad pun, I know.  I'll try harder next time.
