As a kid, I had the biggest affinity for Vicky. She was always polite and level-headed. Someone no one could possibly have anything against. I was disappointed when her character left the series...and even moreso when the producers tried to bring her back with actresses who just weren't even close to being Victoria Winters. It was a shame that she (and we) never learned about her mysterious origins. Once Vicky was gone for good, it was Julia Hoffman who became my favorite Collinwood lady resident. Unlike Vicky, who really had no personal agendas, Julia's scientific curiosity brought her into the story. And her medical expertise proved that vampirism was a malady that could be cured. Among the three "buddies" that Barnabas had in his life (the other two being Ben Stokes and Willie Loomis), she was the only one who was loyal to him without being a servant or being bitten. Maggie was nice, but a magnet for trouble. Carolyn had terrible taste in men. And while Angelique stunned me with her beauty, she also scared the crap outa me.
