Keith Urban's 'Defying Gravity' contains some really great material...The album is good, solid, definitely not a dudd. However, for those of us without all the perfection in our life, some of it is hard to relate too. Keith is definitely in a great place in his live, full of love and happiness. However, there's a little too much mush for me to LOVE this album.

My favorite song on the album is "Til Summer Comes Around" and there's definitely not a lot of happiness in it. It does however, contain fantastic guitar work, incredibly sexy and Keith's voice delivers the pain the melody makes surface perfectly.

"Sweet Thing" and "Kiss A Girl" are definitely favorites to see perform live, but I feel some songs miss the mark. "I'm In" definitely translates better acoustically...and I prefer it that way.

Songs that make the fantastic concert cut are "Hit the Ground Runnin," and "Goin Crazy World." They both have some great guitar work and the most room for additional solos to be inserted...

Although I love the album, it's not something I put on and listen to all the way through. There's a lot of mushy love stuff that's far to serious for me to fully enjoy while going through my hectic day. And, I was such a HUGE fan of 'Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy Thing," it was hard for me to adjust to such a massive change.
