Imagineering returns to Disney Stores... with the help of Steve Jobs (The Apple Guy)

Here's a question for you.  When's the last time you've been to a "Disney Store"? In fact, when's the last time you bought anything from the "Disney Store"?  Me? Well, I can't remember the last time I did any of those things.  Then again, I can't remember what I did yesterday.  Wait a minute... where was I? Where am I ...and why am I typing on this thing-a-ma-jig?  "Find a happy place... find a happy place"...

My state of being senile aside, my point is that the Disney Stores have lost their flair.  In fact, the truth of the matter is that the stores always kind of creeped me out with all the weird whimsical voices coming from it and people in costume.  Don't laugh at me, I scare easily.

But all that may change soon... with the help of Apple's own Steve Jobs.  Mr. Jobs has a plan to restructure, redesign, upgrade (recycle, reduce, re-use.... sorry, I had to!)  all of the Disney stores with cool new gadgets and technology that will make the stores more entertaining and resemble the "theme park" more.  In fact, they're even thinking of renaming the stores "imagination park".  In addition to that, they're willing to spend 1 million dollars per store to acheive this.  They basically want to bring back that sense of "wonder" and make the stores more "interactive" and enjoyable for kids and adults alike.  And personally, I'm all for it! Disney itself was built on the pillars of "innovation", "creativity", "entertainment", and "groundbreaking technology".  The creative pioneering spirit has always been a huge part of what Walt Disney believed in... hence the term "imagineering".   And if anybody can bring that magic back, it's Steve Jobs.  Besides, who doesn't want a limited edition Mickey Mouse Iphone in their collection??? I know I want one... or like, 10!  :P

I do visit & like Disney stores, but only when I'm in Disneyworld or Disneyland. Steve Jobs in Disney would be something to look forward to :)
