This adventure had all the elements that add up to a great Big Finish Doctor Who story. The 6th doctor re-united with an old companion, The real life daughter of the 5th doctor in an excellent supporting role, A highland setting, an older Jamie not recognizing the doctor and the promise of the first of three (actually 4 if you count the companion chronicle crossover) stories with the Doctor playing off the situation.
Unfortunately the story had one thing that even the excellent cast could not overcome, an absolutely horribly written second CD, the plot which had enthralled me all through the first disk simply fizzled. It wasn't so much the alien parasite, not a bad use, but the resolution was so predictable, the last half hour so disjointed that if I didn't know otherwise from the credits of the following two CD I would have thought that they were all written out of sequence and they needed a filler plot to get the Doctor from point A to point B.
That is the saddest part of the story, if I was judging this audiobook by simply the first CD it would easily be 5+. The 2nd CD is so poor that it is only though the efforts of an excellent cast that it manages to stay int he positive realm at all.
I suppose you have to buy this to complete your set but you have to go back over three years to find a Colin Baker story to disappoint you more and that one was part of 4 solo stories so the other three made it up.
If there was ever an episode that should be bought used, this is it.

That is actually the exception, almost 200 audio books are out and most are much better
