Everything About Chihuahuas
Don't you hate it when your dog, happy and covered in mud and grim, runs into your house before you can catch it?
Many dogs start to develop skin conditions if they are bathed too frequently. If, like me, you live in the gray and rainy Pacific Northwest, you may dread all the wonderful mud-filled days of winter. So, I decided to mention a quick and easy clean-up tip that works v-e-r-y well.
If you have dogs like mine, there is nothing more fun for them than running in the rain and splashing through every mud puddle they can find. On their idea of a perfect day, they leave home as black dogs and return as brown mud-covered critters. Then, when we get home, they want to race through the house (on the light carpet...) and shake the mud off in every room as they go. They think it's great. I'm less impressed.
Put a little bit of lemon juice in a bowl of warm water and wipe them down. Not only does it remove virtually all dog smell, citrus acts as a natural flea repellent. A handy thing this time of year!
Try it - it works great!
