My cat Oliver LOVES water! Although it’s not surprising, as cats instinctually need more water than they are offered in most households.  Because cat’s in the wild receive most of their water intake from freshly killed prey, eating dry food in the home does not satisfy their water needs. So, although domestic cats will get some of their water needs from food, especially if they receive canned wet food, it’s important for fresh water to always be available. I've found …

LisaLisa's review did an excellent job of highlighting the pros and cons of the Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain.        I was given one of these pet fountains a couple of years ago by a friend with a passel of cats (10).  I could never get past the concept of plugging in an electrical appliance, filling it with water, then having three cats splashing around in it!  All I could imagine was the poor babies getting electrocuted.  So, the thing was donated to …
