Have you heard of the "salted peanut theory"? Basically, it means "Try one and you have to have another." Or, put another way, you can't stop at one. This is one snack that challenges my self-control.
Left to my own devices I can easily eat half of a 16 oz jar. Oddly enough, I find that I usually prefer generic brands to Planters. I don't care for the seasoning Planters uses. .

As every good bartender knows - keep the bar bowls of salty snacks filled and the adult beverages will flow.

As every good doctor knows, barroom peanut bowls are the biological equivalent of sticking your hand into a urinal 20x a night because of other patrons who don't wash their hands.

Seriously, I like Planter's. A peanut wearing a monocle - where else but America!
