Coming from a close Italian/Irish immigrant family myself, Elizabeth Street was an enjoyable novel.  I really couldn't put the book down once I started reading this intriguing story.  A child kidnapped and what a family will do to get her back.  Once you start, you won't put it down.  A great read.

Is this a story about relatively current events, or about something in the past? Sounds intriguing.
