One of the most repetitive games of the 80s

Galaga, released in 1981, is one of the more repetitive games from the 80s. Although most early games shared the multiple levels of the same thing gene such as pac-man and dig-dug Galaga is one of those games you can play time and time again. I myself have wasted countless hours trying to top my previous score possibly more time has been wasted controling a 2-d space ship than playing some of the newer games i have rented or owned. Despite the decline in the so called "classic" arcade games in bowling alleys or the rare arcade i come across i seem to always find galaga in one of those anthology machines along with pac-man and dig-dug tucked away in the corner between the hunting games or fighting games always neglected and covered in a fine layer of dust. Everytime without fail ive been drawn to that machine in hopes of achieving final victory over the galagians once again.

I have played joust on those collection arcade machines along with pac-man and dig-dug and i have to say it really empties your pockets. Something about it always sends me on one of those hope laden hunts around the arcade searching all the coin returns in hopes of finding a few more quarters left forgotten by a previous player.

I don't like this game. Too boring. My favorite game from this era was Joust. HAVE YOU PLAYED IT?
