With the hopes of getting everyone out of the daily grind, and inspiring some lively discussion around the key issues in social media, user generated content, and Web 2.0, that he's most passionate about, Lunch's founder, J.R. Johnson, has invited a group of dynamic and diverse Internet industry journalists, bloggers, and pundits to his hometown in Southern California in July 2009.
The idea behind the event is that reading up on everyone’s activity on Twitter and blogs is certainly stimulating and worthwhile, but just not quite the same as some live face time, in terms of really encouraging a collaborative discussion
As the inagural Geeks at the Beach event, J.R. and his fellow geeks are sure to learn and share a lot of valuable perspective, and will hopefully make this an annual event.
