Owners of NBC and MSNBC, General Electric is among the chief apolgists for President Obama and the Democrats. Would it bother you to discover that in 2010 GE reported worldwide profits of $14.2 billion? Of this amount some $5.1 billion of the total came from its operations in the United States. And what did G.E. pay in taxes to our country? Absolutely nothing! Zero. Nada. Adding insult to injury G.E. claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion. Ponder that as you face the prospect of increasing property and sales taxes. It is outrageous and American taxpayers should be demanding that Congress do something to make companies like this pay their fair share. They claim to be capitalists until things go sour and then they want us to bail them out. Another company I go out of my way NOT to do business with.
