I would love to give the Venus Breeze a high rating. I really would. I love not needing to use shave gel or soap when I'm shaving my legs in the shower--I do not have time for a lot of hassle in the morning! With the Breeze, it's like someone else is applying the shaving gel for you, and all you have to do is move the swivel-head razor! And it's even better than having someone in the shower applying shaving gel to your legs every morning because, well, that could be awkward. Do they stay in the shower all day? Do you pay them? It just seems like something you wouldn't want. Especially if you have a small shower.
As illustrated above, the Breeze is an excellent solution to the problem of the two-fold task of traditional leg shaving: the first task being applying shaving gel or soap, and the second task being actual shaving. In a smalll shower, oftentimes you'll find shaving gel getting washed off your legs before you even have a chance to shave. This can be quite frustrating.
When I first bought the Breeze, I was ecstatic: here was the answer to all of my problems! Or at least, all of my leg shaving problems. I had used the comfortable and effective razor a couple times when I noticed the product's inevitable flaw: the built in shave bars, the ones that--I don't want to use this word but I can't think of another one and I apologize in advance--lubricate your legs before you slide the razor across them, slowly melt away. Luckily, they don't droop off the razor or fall off in chunks--that would be gross. Rather they sort of wear away and lose color, sort of like a bar of soap that is almost done, or a homemade popsicle that got all the juice sucked out of it and now is just ice on a stick.
Naturally, the Breeze has refill packs, which of course cost much more than the actual razor. I find myself putting on a new blade/gel bar contraption once every two weeks. I think a more responsible person, or at least one who has their act together, would probably change it every week if they used it every day, but I just don't have that kind of discipline.
