The Default Opinion for Consumer Electronics

I'm a gadget lover.  I have so many doodahs and diddlywinks that I can't even keep track of half of them.  I have a drawer full of power cords from dozens of gadgets that I can't even figure out what plugs into which.

This addiction would be a problem if:  (a) I bought every single item I thought "looked cool" and (b) Gizmodo wasn't available.

Gizmodo is my go-to website for reviews on consumer electronics.  All of their reviews are written in-house.  They thoroughly test each product, compare them to popular competitors and better yet, they actually know what they're doing!

Their reviews don't just consist of "It looks cool" or "Feels nice" or "It's Apple!!  MUST GET!".  The reviews are thorough, well thought-out, and most importantly, objective.

Take a look at their review for the Canon EOS Rebel T1i.  I'm not a camera expert, so if I were given the opportunity to review such a sexy beast of a camera, my review would consist of something like, "Big lense.  Cool screen.  1080p video.  Yay!

But not Gizmodo.  They talk numbers, show tons of pictures, and do comparisons to other cameras in its class.  And the crazy thing... they're not even a camera review weblog!  They're just a broad consumer electronics weblogThey do this for nearly every product they review!

And Gizmodo doesn't just stop at reviews.  No, no, no.. that'd be too easy for them.  They also help you find out the best deals out there.  Each day, at around 3pm EST, they compile a list of gadget deals, from Home Entertainment to Gaming to Computer Peripherals.  Check just out this sample list for today.

There's more!

They also post up how-to's and other must-know articles like "Why You Should Stop Buying Your Computers Fully Loaded" and "The Ultimate Black Friday Survival Guide".

But Justice.... there's just way too much information to sift through!  I don't have time to read all these articles.  Is there any way to get just the awesome articles???

Yes, my dear Padawan.  http://gizmodo.com/tag/top/ shows their top articles, based on how many people read the articles, outside links, and comments.

Now, go... read up and prepare yourself to buy more gadgets.  I'm saving up for a pro-sumer camera, myself.  :)
