In September 2010, Sean Kovacs, creator of the app GV Mobile +, announced on his Twitter that Apple had re-accepted the application, and it has since been available for purchase on the Apple App Store. This is the second Google Voice service app available in the Apple's official application store for a year and a half, released just a day after "GV Connect" had been available.
In November 2010, the official iPhone application became available in the App Store.
As both a Google and an Apple fangirl, it broke my heart to see both companies at odds over the Google Voice iPhone app for more than a year (and by heartbroken, I mostly mean that I was annoyed at having to check Google Voice via mobile web on Safari with the speaker on). This is a very useful app for me. I find it handy when I want to make international calls, and not having to type the entire international phone number. I can just pick the number from my contact list, and wait for the call... I used to use phone cards before I got to know about this app, but man... this is way better than the hassel of buying and making calls from a phone card. But I have to warn you though that the app itself has some bugs too.
