After a woman smashed in the passenger side rear corner of the bumper by backing into my Infiniti G35, I took my car to Herb's Paint and Body Shop in Frisco, Texas because of the great reviews I read about it online.
Before bringing my car in for the estimate, I gave them a call and asked if I needed an appointment. They said I could just come whenever I wanted so I went in later that day around 2:30 pm. Herb's Paint and Body had plenty of parking and the outside area didn't look like a complete mess of randomly parked cars in every which direction as I've seen at other body shops. The reception area was very clean and they offered complimentary bottled water, soda, coffee, and popcorn. There was also plenty of seating, magazines, and a TV. I asked for Brian Carlock, who was specifically recommended in some of the reviews I read. Brian gave me an estimate very quickly and I was out of there within 15 minutes. Though it was quick, I didn't feel rushed at all. I pointed out the damage I wanted fixed and he talked me through each estimate so I understood what the process would entail. In addition to the bumper damage, I also wanted to have 3 rims fixed and a dent popped out. He admitted that he was not confident about the dent estimate and that when I brought the car in to have fixed, he would have their paintless dent repair guy look at it and call me back with a more accurate estimate.
After getting approval from the insurance company, I dropped off the car to be fixed on a Thursday morning. Again, I was helped by Brian with maybe a 3-5 minute wait because he was wrapping up with another customer. All I had to do was fill out a short form and that was it. Another great thing about this shop is that there is an Enterprise Rental Car counter INSIDE! So after handing my car keys to Brian, I went over to the Enterprise counter and picked up my rental car. It couldn't have been more convenient! As promised, within a couple of hours of dropping off my car, Brian called me to let me know the adjusted estimate from the paintless dent repair guy and it was lower than he originally estimated.
When I dropped off my car, I provided my e-mail address so I could receive e-mail updates about my car. While my car was in the shop, Herb's sent e-mails to me letting me know about the status of the car as it went through the process of being fixed. I thought that was an excellent service for them to offer and it made me feel like my car wasn't just sitting around not being worked on. I was also able to get a good gauge as to when my car would be ready for pick up from the e-mails.
On the day my car was ready, Brian gave me a call in the morning and I picked up my car shortly after. It looked wonderful!! The cost was also exactly what Brian quoted me so there were no problems on that front. Herb's also has a Lifetime Warranty on the repair work! I'm very happy with my experience at Herb's Paint and Body Shop and I would highly recommend them to anyone!
