Our pets are like our kids since, all but one has left the nest. We treat them like we would like to be treated ourselves, so we try and purchase different types of food each month. This time we purchased a different type "Science Diet" small bites for mature dogs . You can purchase this at just about any pet supply store such as "Petco" or "Petsmart" or even at your local vets across the country for the low price of $21.00 for a large bag just under 35 pounds.  It is safe enough for older dogs from 7 years of age. This is the only dog food that I know of that is recommend by all vets.

This has been tested to improve and restore your dogs energy within thirty days. This also has been tested to make sure that your dog enough nutrition for joint and more mobility. This also has more glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. Also this is better for your dogs digestive system. Even though this is small bites does not mean that it is for only small dogs. We have a German Shepherd and she loves every little bite that she can get.

Guaranteed Analysis
This has 16% crude protein minimum, 12% crude fat minimum, 5% maximum crude fiber, 10% maximum moisture, lysine minimum of 1.0%, calcium minimum of 0.4%, phosphorus minimum of 0.3%, vitamin E minimum of 450 IU/kg, ascorbic acid (vitamin C)minimum of 85 IU/kg, carnitine minimum of 200 IU/kg, glucosamine minimum of 375 ppm, chondroitin sulfate minimum of 37 ppm.

Ingredients
This includes whole grain corn, chicken by product meal, animal fat [preserved with mixed-tocopherols and citric acid], soy bean mill run, flaxseed, chicken liver flavor, corn gluten meal, potassium chloride, L-lysine, choline chloride, niacin, thiamine mononitrate, calcium pantothenate, biotin,  minerals (ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, manganous oxide, calcium iodide, sodium selenate), Vitamins (vitamin A supplement, vitamin E supplement, calcium carbonate, source of vitamin B1], vitamin B12 supplement, niacin, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride [source of vitamin B6], vitamin D3 supplement, folic acid),  calcium carbonate, L-tryptophan, taurine, glucosamine hydrochloride, L-carnitine, chondroitin sulfate, phosphoric acid, bets carotene, and rosemary extract.

How much is Enough
You may not know how much that they recommend, that you should feed your pet. A lot depends on how much your pet weighs. For a breed that weighs 5 pounds you can give them 3/8 to 5/8 cup, for a breed weighing 10 pounds you can give 2/3-1 cups, for a medium breed weighing 20 pounds you can give them 1 ¼  - 1 2/3 cups, for a breed weighing 40 pounds you can give them 2-2 ¾ cups, and for all breeds over 60 pounds you can feed them 2 2/3 - 3 2/3   cups, for breeds that weigh 80 pounds 3 1/3 - 4 2/3 cups, for breeds 100 pounds give 4-5 ½ cups.

Experience
You have a lot of different types of puppy food to choose from such as original Purina Puppy Chow varieties. But, once your pup turns older than one year old, it is time to change their food and that is why we switched to Science Diet. Since, we have one dog over that age of 7 and two under we chose the product right down the middle to help them maintain a good fit.

Science Diet small bites has a bunch of ½ inch sized small bites in dark brown and lighter brown (but mostly dry). When we first brought this food home our dogs gorged themselves with this food and went through this bag in less than two weeks. If they could they would have chewed through the bag to get at this food. We usually put this food inside of an automatic feeder and they will eat twice a day. This helps keep them in shape and very healthy, so there is less time spent at the vets. Our dogs just loved this brand and once they tasted it, they calmed down and stopped gorging. This dog food has a bunch of healthy benefits such as: healthy digestion, strong bones, healthy skin and coat, teeth, strong immune system, strong muscles, healthy heart.

There are five main things that this food will help your pet benefit from and they are vitamin C E for their immune system, this will restore their youthful playfulness with a very balanced nutrients combination, for joint and mobility this has glucosamine and chondroitine sulfate, this will also help if your pet has a sensitive digestive system, and it also has L-Carotene for their best weight and lean muscle tones.

Conclusion
Along with all of the advantages you also get a 100% satisfaction guarantee. There are several different flavors of dry dog food and several flavors of canned food. This is also recommended by our vet. So if your pet has a sensitive stomach, then this is an excellent part of their diet.
