Truly a breathtaking read

This book can touch the heart of those who know the meaning of loss. Abandonment is not an easy feeling to cope with, causing many to latch on to others who may not have their best interest at heart. I have taken to this particular book because it allows the reader to come up with some of their own conclusions. In answering these questions the reader can, in turn, learn more about themselves as they identify with a certain character in the story.
Homecoming is a book that builds itself around 4 children who are suddenly abandoned by their mother in at a local supermarket. The children are left inside of the car as the mother tells them she will be back soon. After three days pass, the oldest, Dicey, realizes their mother isn't coming back. With no other relatives around them, the 4 begin a journey to find a home. Along the way they realize the true meaning of family.

I've enjoyed Cynthia Voigt novels in the past, and this one sounds like another good tale. Thanks for the review write-up!
