For my first review I am taking on quite a controversial subject. I have wanted to say this out loud for a long time, but have been afraid to because I am a Christian. Now I know what your thinking, no I am not a homosexual; but I feel that in this day and age most conservative Christians are looking past what the love of Jesus really is. All of these anti-homosexual hate rallies are full of hypocracy and unwarranted judgment. Homosexuality in many ways is a life style choice that goes against the Christian view of life, but I don't understand why Christians have such a hard time accepting these children of God. God hates the sin inside of a person, not the person themselves. Jesus Christ was known to hang out with people considered full of sin and an embarrassment to humanity. I believe that Jesus would surround himself with homosexuals and other "sinners" in order to become close to them and show them the true path of life....Now I also know that there have been studies that show that you can actually be born gay or lesbian; I am no expert and I really don't know much about this, but if it is the case then I can't believe that homosexuality is actually a sin. I do feel however, that homosexuality can't be completely naturally. If it were I would have to guess that all human beings would be hermaphrodites. Men don't have a uterus and women don't have testicles, so therefore in my opinion, because you are unable to physically and naturally have children to help populate the earth, then God wouldn't look too favorably towards homosexuality.
I myself know a couple of homosexuals and love them with all of my heart. To outcast them as a Christian is wrong and in itself is the actual sin. And as a Christian I shouldn't become close to a homosexual and try to convert them to becoming straight, because that is not what God calls us to do. If homosexuality is in fact a sin against God then a homosexual that has been given news of God will feel convicted and change their ways. I am not against homosexuality and I will feel this as long as I live. We as Christians, no matter how young or old need to be more Christ like and show our love to all, no matter what their sexual orientation.
