I've Had My Baby, Now What?-Your Step By Step Guide To Surviving

The Postpartum Year Safely and Naturally
by Shalay Strums addresses

some of the most difficult issues in the period after childbith. Examples

of these problems are exhaustion, depression and a general feeling of

being ill at ease. The feelings range from fainting, night shaking,

insomnia, night shaking, panic and fear. The author refers to this as the

postpartum year. Thankfully, she has good strategies to cushion the

impact of the postpartum period.

Strums documents the intense hormonal changes in the postpartum

period which include hot flashes, rapid heartbeat, irritability,

crashing fatigue, muscle tension, hair loss, tingling in the

extremities, ringing in the ears, arthritis, gallbladder issues,

magnesium deficiency and internal shaking among other things.

Strums documents a whole range of foods that support a

rebalancing of the bodily systems like omega 3, brown rice,

flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, leafy green vegetables, spinach,

broccoli, celery, parsley, cucumbers, fresh berries, yams

and many others.

In addition, Strums mentions the importance of prenatal

vitamins, the B complex vitamins, Vitamin D3, flax oil,

blue-green algae, ionic minerals and much more.

Yoga, acupuncture and walking are also important

components in the healing process which is set forth

at length in the book.

I've Had My Baby Now What? is an important book in

order to facilitate full recovery in the post partum period

after childbirth. Strums has anticipated the classic

problems women have after childbirth. Simple strategies

are offered based upon the author's vast experience with

these phenomena over the course of her six pregnancies.

This book is an excellent supplement to your medical

library of health books. The contents should be implemented

in conjunction with your existing medical team in order to

customize the presentation to your own individual health

profile and needs. The book is brief and easy to understand.
