The former Ugandan President, Idi Amin Dada, was born in Uganda in 1925. He was a local heavyweight boxing champion, as well as a soldier. Mr. Idi Amin ruled his domain with iron fist. Opposition were soon to be scarce, as many fled to neighboring countries. He would not hesitate to imprison or kill anyone who dared threaten his rule. However, a conflict with the neighboring Tanzania led to his overthrow. He fled to Saudi Arabia where he lived until his death in 2003.
