Questions No One Is Asking...

Israel has maintained a military blockade off its coast.  It is a measure to help prevent the import of weapons to the region.  Israel, which is known for their incredible ability to gather intelligence appears to have been drawn into a ruse, with the intent of causing embarrassment and international outrage at their proactive responses.

So my first question is "how did Israel gather this bad intelligence?"  I would follow that question immediately with "why was one of the eye-witnesses a former United States Ambassador and what was he doing running a military blockade?"  A former Ambassador lend incredible credence to the opposition.  It also makes me wonder what motivated this Ambassador.  I watched his interview and wondered why he would put himself in a position to run a military blockade.

The Ambassador compared the actions of the Israeli forces to the Somali Pirates.  The difference being the Somali pirates are hijacking ships and holding crews and cargo for ransom.  The Israeli action is intended to stop the flow of weapons into the region.  So the Ambassadors comments show that he has a definite axe to grind in this issue.  And he never did explain what he was doing running a blockade.  Diplomats should understand, if anyone does, that diplomatic channels should be pursued if you want to deliver aid.

I have serious reservations about the reported stories about this issue.  It seems like a set-up to me.  What do YOU think?

Thanks for the review. I really empathize with your quandary and add to it: Why are so few of Israel's actions questioned. It's sad.
