If you listen to contemporary hip hop or rap, chances are you have heard their work. The sonic seduction of their tracks has produced some of the shiniest jewels for some of the industries biggest names including Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Young Jeezy & Little Wayne.
To be perfectly honest there arent too many producers whose music really sounds timeless for their genre. When I say timeless I refer to the musics ability to be used by most artist from any given time period in a genres history. They pull it off nicely. Sometimes im listening to a JL track & I imagine some of the greats blessing the track with their flow. Imagine if you would the vocal stylings of Big Daddy Kane melting over the symphony known as "Maybach Music 2". Or if you prefer to live on the edge of your seat reincarnate the late TuPac Shakur and visualize him putting the smash hit "She Got It" to sleep.
In a time where the music industry has bent its self over for a spanking the JL is a breath of fresh air for the folks who feel like all the new music is crappy.
