Far more useful than the Patagonia case I started with

I am beginning to understand why so many reviews about cases and lamps for the Kindle refer to searching many descriptions and even trying several before finding one the reviewer liked. In my case, I tried a Patagonia case first (Patagonia Kindle Case (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle)), but became thoroughly disgusted with it in a matter of days because the corner clips just don't hold the Kindle securely. I would strongly advise against purchasing the Patagonia case for the Kindle.

The M-Edge Latitude had a number of glowing reviews so I thought I would give it a try.

Nice case!

It fits he Kindle snugly and the corner clips are larger than those on the Patagonia and, so far, are holding the Kindle securely in all positions.

Unlike the Patagonia, the zippers are not difficult to work around the corners of the case.

The front and rear covers are lined with a fleece-like material that will provide some protection to the Kindle. Overall, the whole case will lend some protection to the Kindle, but I strongly suggest you don't drop it.

The case has a zippered pocket in the front for holding incidentals such as the power adapter, USB cable and perhaps a pair of ear buds and a screen cleaning cloth. The front cover feels as if it has a cardboard insert to protect the screen, but I would recommend that you keep the power adapter low in the pocket over the keyboard. I worry about having it pressing it against the screen.

On the back, are a pair of pockets for the companion M-Edge e-Luminator reading lamp. My review of the lamp itself is elsewhere, but suffice it to say, it is a good lighting device for the Kindle and these special pockets are great for holding the e-Luminator.

The fabric has a nice feel and provides a secure grip. Workmanship overall is excellent.

I like this case. I can carry my whole Kindle set-up in a nice, compact package. Very well done and worth the money.

Jerry
