I've been known to have a love affair with Marshalls

Friends and family don't even ask anymore, if they say "Where did you get that cute hat?" they already know what I will answer. Marshall's is my wardrobe closet because I really will never pay full price on anything - and lately I will not even buy anything that is not under $10 and on a red tag sale. Where else can you get a really expensive brand pair of shoes for under $20? Marshall's makes it possible for me to wear designer clothing that someone shopping Newbury street spends $150 on while I get an 80% off deal for the same item.

I'll admit I have splurged on a few occasions, like the $80 Via Spiga coat or the $130 Born leather boots with sheepskin lining - those were investments I would wear for many seasons. But it is great to have a store where you can get shoes for $20 and for $120, one stop shopping. This place is also great for:

high quality designer bedding
pillows and comforters
unique furniture finds from upscale stores
expensive cookware
gourmet foods and spices, many from Europe
great coffee
wooden children's toys
upscale baby and children's clothing
otherwise expensive stationary
books and journals
wall art and mirrors
high quality skin care products
purses galore
quality luggage
ski gear (clothes and goggles)
perfumes

So this is a great place to shop if you are looking to spend as little as possible for as much as possible. Although you do have to dig through to find the good stuff, if you don't like that idea try a department store instead or head to Newbury street in Boston and spend a fortune.

I financed both my fitness studio and my wardrobe at Marshalls. I have a black velvet Victorian cape, which I use when I give tours of Breckenridge. In a way, I'm happy that there is no Marshalls out here in Colorado!

I like how you breakdown your review of items Marshalls is strong on. There isn't a Marshalls near where I currently live, but I used to go there all the time for cheap shoes. For cheap buys now, I rely on Crossroads Trading Co.
