Theme songs

Opening song:

Meet the bulky, kinda sulky, kinda hulky super heroes.

Altruistic and electrically transistored super heroes.

An exotically neurotic and aquatic super heroes.

The Marvel superheroes have arrived!

Superpowered from their foreheads to their toes,

Watch them change their very shape before your nose.

See our cane-striking super heroes change to Viking super heroes.

Our zinging', real swingin', shield-flingin' super heroes.

They're the latest, they're the greatest, ultimatest super heroes.

The Marvel superheroes have arrived!

The Mighty Thor

Cross the Rainbow Bridge of Asgard,

Where the booming heavens roar,

You'll behold in breathless wonder

The God of Thunder, Mighty Thor!

Iron Man

Tony Stark

Makes you feel

He's a cool exec

With a heart of steel.

As Iron Man,

All jets ablaze,

He fights and smites

With repulsor rays!

Amazing armor!

It’s Iron Man!

A blaze of power!

It’s Iron Man!

The Incredible Hulk

Doc Bruce Banner,

Belted by gamma rays,

Turns into the Hulk.

Ain't he unglamo-rays!

Wreckin' the town

With the power of a bull,

Ain't no monster clown

Who is that lovable?

It's the ever lovin' Hulk! Hulk! Hulk!"

Captain America

When Captain America throws his mighty shield,

All those who chose oppose his shield must yield.

If he's led to a fight and a duel is due,

Then the red and the white and the blue'll come through.

When Captain America throws his mighty shield!

Submariner

Stronger than a whale! He can swim anywhere!

He can breathe underwater and go flying through the air!

The noble Sub-Mariner! Prince of the Deep!

 So beware any Demons!

Lord Namor of Atlantis is the Prince of the Deep!"

Lyrics to the Mighty Marvel Marching Society Song!

Growing up in the 1960's and being a big fan of the Marvel comics, one of the first "must see" television programs that debuted daily was The Marvel Super Heroes cartoons.  At first I was a little disappointed because the line-up did not include my two favorite titles, Spiderman and The Fantastic Four, but the show allowed me to gain an appreciation of two of the lesser Marvel titles, namely Submariner (pronounced in the cartoon submaroner and not like a "submarine- r") …
