Ray Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula start in this 1 hour long TV show about 3 best friends, men in their 40s. Ray is in the midst of a divorce. Andre is married with kids. Scott is playing the singles life. The supporting cast is quite strong as well with Richard Gant playing Owen Thoreau, Sr, Andre's father and boss at the car dealership where he works, Lisa Gay Hamilton as Andre's demanding wife, and Carla Gallo as the coffee house Annie. Fans of the TV show, "Bones," will recognize her at Dr. Lance Sweets' girlfriend Daisy. The pilot moves along really really slowly. It's actually almost painful. I gave it a 2star not because I hate it, but because I think it has a lot of potential. The writers (Ray Romano being one of them) and director need to tighten up the pace and make the touch a little lighter. That final 7 minutes of the pilot feature a very funny scene with Andre Braugher and Richard Gant. MORE of the show needs to move at that pace with that touch. When they do, they will have a 4 or 5 star. I really like and admire the cast and the premise. So I am hanging in there and cheering them on to bring it out to a fuller realization of the potential it has.
